HB 1378: Debt Obligation Reporting
The 84th Legislature passed HB 1378 to increase the transparency of local government debt. Under local political subdivisions, including counties, cities, school districts, junior college districts, special purpose districts, and other subdivisions of state government must annually compile their debt obligation data from the preceding fiscal year.
Tax Rate and Previous Budgets
The City's tax rate for FY19 (October 1, 2018 through September 30, 2019) is $0.63218, $0.44718 for maintenance and operation of the General Fund and $0.18500 for payment of principal and interest on debt.
