On March 28, 2022, in response to the latest federal census, the City of El Campo amended their voting districts to comply with all local, state, and federal laws. In the updated district map, the borders for all districts change to some extent. In the new plan, the area between Highway 71 and East Jackson Street is now in District 2. Additionally, the area immediately around El Campo High School is now in District 3.
Maps and charts for the newly-adopted Council Districts are included in the link below. The maps show the entire districts and the change in the borders from the previous districts. The charts show the new total population for each district, the population of each district broken down by race, and the deviation of each district from the ideal district and from each other.
