Aquatic Center Features

The Rotary Club of El Campo began a project in 1999 to design and build the El Campo Aquatic Center to replace the 50-year-old American Legion pool. It was designed to be a family-oriented venue for recreation, swim lessons, parties, exercise, therapy and competitive swimming. The Rotary Club Pool Committee was successful in soliciting funds for the project through various grant applications and donations, as well as participation by the City of El Campo, El Campo ISD and Wharton County.

The final result was a $1.9 million facility, located on El Campo ISD property at 2613 Blossom Meyer, with 3 heated pools, including an 8-lane x 25-yard competition pool, a recreational or leisure area with an 85 linear foot slide, water mushroom, lily pads and other features, and a large 20-person hot tub. The facility opened in January 2005 and is being operated by the City.

The El Campo Aquatic Center is the home pool for the El Campo Red Wave swim team, the El Campo High School swim team, and it is utilized by the Physical Therapy Department of El Campo Memorial Hospital

The Aquatic Center accepts cash, checks and credit cards. When using credit/debit card there is a minimum of $3 fee. Please write your driver's license and phone number on checks.

Water Features Off During Morning SessionYour El Campo Aquatic Center does not turn on the water features (Slide, Dump Buckets, Sprays, Mushroom) or allow use of the Lily Pads during the morning session in order to accommodate swim lessons, physical therapy and water aerobics in the leisure pool. These features are all on and available during the afternoon session.

Also, various sections of the Aquatic Center may be limited depending on the activities being hosted.
