CAFR (COMPREHENSIVE ANNUAL FINANCIAL REPORT):
The CAFR is an analytical assessment of financial behavior completed after the end of each fiscal year.

BUDGETS:
The City Budget is an annual document that outlines revenues and expenditures for the fiscal year, in accordance with citizen needs and expectations.

GFOA (GOVERNMENT FINANCE OFFICERS ASSOCIATION):
The City of El Campo participates in the Government Finance Officers Association award program for both the Budget and the CAFR.  The City has received both the Distinguished Budget Presentation and the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting for 19 years in a row.  Please visit the GFOA Awards site for more information.

CHECK REGISTER:
City of El Campo payments can be viewed using the city’s Interactive Financial Reporting Tool powered by ClearGov.  These registers can be filtered and exported in a .csv file format.

PERSONNEL:
The City of El Campo has 124 Full Time Equivalents, this information is available in all budget documents, as well as Comprehensive Financial Reports and Popular Annual Financial Report.

TAX RATE:
The current property tax rate for FY24 is $0.44421 per $100 valuation.  The sales tax rate is 8.25% with the City retaining 1.5%.  For more information on tax rates, paying taxes and the breakdown on how they are used, please visit our Tax Information page.
